César Blanco is a supporter of welcoming refugees and immigrants and building a robust refugee resettlement program. Blanco was raised in El Paso by a single mother, and comes from a family of educators and healthcare providers — and with a family tradition of U.S. military service dating back to World War I. Public service runs deep in Blanco’s family. He continued his public service working for several local members of Congress. In 2015 he ran and was elected to represent District 76 in the Texas House. In the Texas House, Blanco has delivered as a strong champion for El Paso by leading initiatives to improve access to healthcare, strengthen opportunities in the local economy, and expand mental health resources for veterans. Today, César is running for Texas Senate because District 29 needs a fighter committed to building a stronger future for El Paso and West Texas.
